There are two specific folders in our gallery we are monitoring: prose and poetry. When submitting to either, please make sure you are only putting in your best work. Use proper grammar and spelling, unless it is obviously done otherwise in an intentional and stylistic way. Do your best to avoid clichés, and stick to the theme. Ambiguity is alright, but we need to understand what your piece is trying to say. Also, make sure to include mature filters if necessary.
For Poetry specifically: try to use strong and creative imagery, while also depicting a clear story or emotion. The rhythm, flow, and wording should all add to the quality of the piece. Fixed form will be accepted, but only if it’s utilized correctly and sounds professional.
For Prose specifically: no fan fiction or chapter works will be accepted. Please try to keep in mind that shorter is better. Make use of good formatting; with clear paragraph breaks and sentence structure unless used otherwise in a stylistic way.
If your piece is rejected, you may ask why. We may respond if we have time, or redirect you to these guidelines.
Remember, if your piece is rejected, you may always submit to the Feedback Folder!
With that, I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year!
Have a lovely week!
